RECRUITING: PCOS Oxidative Stress Bone Study
Research Study Participants needed:
We invite non-smoking women between 35 and 47 years old to take part in a study looking at bone health in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Women diagnosed with PCOS (also called Anovulatory Androgen Excess) are invited to participate. The study will require 2 visits to Vancouver General Hospital during which questionnaires, a bone density scan, height, weight, waist circumference and blood and urine samples will be taken. A nutritional supplement N-Acetyl Cycteine (NAC) in the form of a pill will be taken daily for the 3 months of the study. Benefits of participation include a free bone density and help with parking or transit expenses. For more information or to participate please contact:
